Benetau Slipper Favourite In TAB First Market

BeneteauBeneteau is the Golden Slipper favourite on the TAB's first market for the $3.5 million race at Rosehill in April.

The Paul Messara-trained colt is the $7 first elect for the 1200-metre feature ahead of Solar Charged ($8) from the John O'Shea yard.

Redoute's Choice youngster Beneteau scored a slashing win in last Saturday's Blue Diamond Colts and Geldings Prelude at Caulfield to cement favouritism for the Blue Diamond.

That win followed his impressive debut victory at Randwick over 1000 metres on Australia Day.

Solar Charged rocketed to a five length win over Extreme Mover in her only race start at Randwick on the Kensington track last November.

Kembla Grange speedster Chance Bye is on the next line of betting at $11 along with Queensland flyer Military Rose.

The Michael Tubman-trained Chance Bye has hammered her opposition in both of her starts in restricted Inglis races.

The Snitzel filly won the Inglis Two-Year-Old Classic (1200m) by 3-1/2 lengths on January 23.

A month earlier Chance Bye won the Inglis Nursery (1000m) by the same margin.

The Gillian Heinrich-trained Military Rose is unbeaten in four starts.

Military Rose defeated Ambers Waltz by 3-3/4 lengths last start to win the $2 million Magic Millions Classic (1200m) at the Gold Coast on January 9.

The top of the TAB market varies from that of Colin Tidy's Betchoice.com which has Beneteau and Solar Charged locked for favouritism on $6.

Betchoice has Military Rose at $8 ahead of Elimbari and Psychologist who are both at $9 while Chance Bye is at $15 on Betchoice.

The Kris Lees-trained Elimbari, a debut winner at Rosehill on January 16, is at $15 with the TAB.
