December Draw Injured
December Draw's spring preparation is over after trainer Mark Kavanagh confirmed to Racing Victoria stewards this morning that the horse would be spelled.
December Draw started an easing $3.30 favourite in yesterday's $2.5 million Group 1 BMW Caulfield Cup (2400m) but finished a distant last.

Jockey Michael Rodd was at a loss to explain the poor performance other than to note that the horse was galloped on from behind.
However Kavanagh told stewards this morning that the six-year-old gelding had suffered a "fracture to the lateral splint bone in the off hind leg."
It is expected December Draw won't race again until the start of next season.
